HOW SWEEP IT IS!...

Last time I checked in, I was feeling the lowest of the lowes. Today, I'm feeling like Katrina and the Waves... I'm walking on sunshine. What a way to turn it around. Sweeping Miniatures, I mean the Giants. The series started off with a gutty performance by Brad Penny. Despite the fact that he did not have his best stuff, he toughed it out, and willed the Dodgers to victory. Not to mention the great defensive plays by Russell Martin that saved the game. On Saturday, Derek Lowe rebounded from his shaky opening day start, and and shut down the team by the bay. He went seven strong innings, and never allowed the Giants offense to get started. The little know Wilson Valdez, who everyone keeps confusing with Wilson Alvarez (just the thought of confusing those two is ridiculous) had a great all around game. He got some key knocks and made some spectacular plays at short. As for Sunday, the Dodgers went up against my one time favorite player, Barry Zito. The Dodgers offense pounded Zito all day, and this game was basically over after the second. Now we look forward to today, as we open up at home against the Colorado Rockies. Lets keep it going!
